• The following credit cards may be used: Visa, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, MUFG, DC, UFJ, Nicos, DinersClub.

• When using a credit card to make a donation via Internet, the minimum donation is 500 yen.

• Once you have completed a donation transaction, it cannot be canceled, regardless of the reason. Please be sure to confirm information you have entered before finalizing the transaction.

• Your online donation will be billed to your credit card in accordance with the terms of your agreement with the credit card issuer. The transaction will normally appear on your statement either the month after you complete the transaction, or the following month. Please check your credit card statement for details. The transaction will appear on your statement as “Ashinaga ikueikai” (in Japanese: あしなが育英会).

• The date your donation is received is not the date you complete the online donation form, but the date Ashinaga actually receives the money from the credit card company. Online credit card donations made in December are generally not received by Ashinaga until January or later. Furthermore, in order to minimize costs, Ashinaga does not send receipts to donors at the time of each donation. Instead, in February each year, Ashinaga sends donors a single receipt for all donations in the previous calendar year. Donors also receive an annual report. Finally, please note that, under Japanese tax law, donations to Ashinaga do not qualify for the donation deduction. We are grateful for your understanding.

• The security of the information you provide online is ensured via SSL encryption, and we use a dedicated server for increased safety and security. Except in cases where Ashinaga is at fault, we will not be held responsible for any damages or loss, regardless of the circumstances, that occur in connection with your online donation.

• We will not use the information you provide via this online form for any purpose other than the processing of your donation, and fundraising efforts. We will not provide your personal information to any third party without your consent. Although some operations are performed by external subcontractors, we have confirmed in advance that work done by these subcontractors is performed in a reliable manner, and that appropriate measures are in place to suitably protect personal information. Information is handled and stored with the utmost care, and when no longer required, it is deleted in accordance with the terms of our policy on the handling of personal information.

• Ashinaga is not responsible for any questions or problems that arise in connection with the agreement between the cardholder and the credit card issuer. In the event that the card issuer is unable to collect amounts due, the cardholder may be assessed late charges and/or penalties by the card issuer.
